SPECIFICATION
The instrument will be used for determining the abrasion value of coarse aggregate.
It should consists of the following:-
- Two hollow cast iron cylinders closed at one end andfitted with tightly fitting covers at the other and mounted on a shaft at an angle of 30o to the axis of the shaft. The cylinders size should be of 20 cm internal diameter and 34 cm deep.
- A shaft adjusted to rotate at 30-33 rpm by reduction gear mechanism operated by a motor.
A revolution counter. Suitable for operation on 440 V, 50 Hz, 3 phase supply.
